Love, Lauren
“Dear NICU Mama, I know you can do this because you’re a mother. A mother who loves fiercely and protects with every fiber of her being.
I may not know you personally but I know you can do this because that moment the NICU became apart of your journey you found a strength inside you, you may have never known you had.
I know you can do this even though it may not feel like it right now. The constant beeping, wires to make sure you not tangle, pumping on schedule and the daily anticipation of the possibility that you just might be closer to closing this chapter.
I know you can do this even though there’s no perfect plan, schedule or timeline for your baby to follow. You feel so strong yet helpless at the same time because all you can do in this moment is just be their mother, but that’s just it mama. I know you can do this because you are a mother and you are all your baby needs and they’ll always be all you ever need to get through this.”
Love,
Lauren
More of Lauren + Celeste’s NICU Journey:
“Celeste was born 3lbs at 32 weeks due to HELLP syndrome in February 2025. She spent 26 days in the NICU and came home on St.Patricks day. To say we felt lucky that day would be an understatement.
At almost 6 months, she continues to amaze us with how strong and resilient she is.
Those 26 days were long with all the back and forth from the hospital and home while still being present for her big brother at home anticipating her arrival. We are forever thankful to the amazing NICU staff of nurses, doctors and all who helped us through those days when it felt like all we could do to help her while she was hooked up to those monitors was to simply just be her mom & dad.”
