  • mollie

    Mollie Albanese

    Editorial Team

Mollie is married to her college sweetheart, Joe, and together they live on the East Coast. Her journey into motherhood was far from what she expected. Mollie experienced a high-risk pregnancy with identical twins, and they were born via an emergency c-section when her water broke at 26 weeks. Her daughter Athena fought as hard as she could, but wasn’t able to survive, and they lost her at just 15 days old. Their surviving twin, Veronica, spent 130 days fighting in the NICU. Mollie is currently a stay-at-home mom and fills her days with her toddler’s medical appointments, classes, and adventures with her family. She understands how isolating motherhood can feel after the NICU and after a devastating loss; being a medical mom brings along its own challenges as well. Mollie finds peace in being outside surrounded by nature, and, along with processing her own experiences in her parenting journey, she writes in the hopes of helping other NICU mamas feel more seen and understood.
